Once you got your web page up and running you are mostly interested in getting it to be recognized by the search engines and to increase the traffic, by getting more visitors to your url address.
There are general conditions required by search engines in general and which are not difficult to follow once you dedicate some time to studying them. They are mainly related to the content of the page and to the manner you need to submit the page in order for the search engines to be able to post it in response of queries.
However, you should be aware of the fact that apart from the common characteristics and requirements that search engines share, there are more specific ones that you need to consider if you want to submit you page to them, as well. Make sure you are well informed of the procedures you need to follow before you take any action.
As a general rule, most of the search engines tend to be interested in the titles posted on your page, which should be included on every page and should be original. Some of them even suggest that you include the main keywords of the page in the titles.
Keyword density is an issue that search engines approach differently: some of them require a certain density per page and moreover give strict suggestion on how they should be arranged, while others do not seem to mind this aspect at all. Most of them however encourage web pages to have external links to other sites.
The opinions vary as well when it comes to Meta Tags: some of the important engines tend to stress their importance, while the others don’t find them really important, but however do encourage their use. Anyways, what all these search engines reported as favorable is click popularity procedures and concise and accurate descriptions and keywords.
